Freelance Web Designer

Welcome to my all so very personal homepage. Everything here is about me, Peter Heinrich Claus, Freelance Web Designer - and Professional Survival Artist. This page really has nothing to do with my work as a Freelance Web Designer. However, you are most welcome to visit me over there at Q Web Design.

Compatibility

I have tried to make the design and contents of this Web Site as generic and compatible as possible. There is no Java Script, no Flash, nor any other fancy gimmicks. Styles are kept to a minimum in favour of system defaults. Follow this link to view some screenshots how the pages render in different Browsers, including dinosaurs like Netscape v1 and MSIE v1.5, exotic devices like WebTV or the text-only Browser Lynx. Nevertheless, some documents in the sub-sections may have a lesser degree of backwards compatibility due to their chosen layout and design elements. They ought however, be accessible and render prefectly in any modern Browser.

Activites

Since I spend pretty much most of my time travelling, working and living all over the world, putting together a summary is all but an easy task. My life has almost always been one of here today, gone tomorrow. Feel free, to browse a small collection of my Travel Reports. You may want to take a glance at my Poetry writings or a little children's booklet, Klara the Crow. And if all this is not good enough, you may want to check some impressions in the Gallery or the Metamorphosis. I leave it to you, to review my barebones CV or to read on and explore the extended Director's Cut with one or two extra slices of nonstop nonsense. Prepare to dare. Madness is just another word for it.

Favourites

My first machine was one of those Sinclair ZX 81 thingies (and what a b*tch it was!). At present I do most of work on an HP Pavilion ZD 8155, running my preferred Operating System Sun Solaris in perfect harmony with a few others. If it comes to music it is progressive rock. However, I am fairly open to Jazz, Blues, Electronic and classical tunes. Amongst others, one; probably the one; of my all-time favourite bands would surely have to be Deep Purple. I enjoy well-written Science Fiction and Fantasy like Asimov or Lem, but also masters like Rousseau. Some of my top movies are Clockwork Orange, Dark Star, Solaris and Heavy Metal. Oh, and I confess to be a great fan of Star Trek.

SETI

Moreover, I am actively anticipating in the SETI@home project. The goal of this project, the search for extra-terrestial intelligence, is to analyze radio data from outer space received by the; at the time of this writing; world's largest radio telescope at Arecibo and scan for logical patterns. In the meantime, until some real E.T. finds us interesting enough to stop by, I will continue to struggle hard to survive my earthly madness. Anyway, while I would find it truly amazing, I do not believe to be around by the time of any possible first contact. However, it shall be my strongest of hopes that these pals are better educated than most of this planet's inhabitants.

Brainstorm

I always enjoy a good discussion on PSI and other supernatural matters as long as it has a solid foundation. To make it clear: I consider all the triple-six bollocks as complete nonsense. That sort of trash addresses the poorest of minds to keep them occupied in order to cover-up the sick sh*t some smart bastard has in his or her brain; or what is left of it. I would say, this comes from the religious insanity of the medievals.

Free Speech

While times may have changed, at least some of the disgusting behaviours sure did not. Where one says Mafia, it probably means Vatican; or vice versa. Oh, I can hear you shouting angrily. People are supposed to speak their mind and there ought to be nobody to silence one another just because of a different point of view. If your faith is with the Jesus thing, okay. If you are with Allah, Buddha or whatever name you have given to it, that is just fine with me; as long as you leave me alone while I take a bite off my Holy Banana. Welcome to the Twenty-first century.

Open Mind

I believe to be a somewhat relaxed person. The world could be a much nicer place if everybody would just take a second to recover the gentle smile every newborn says hello with. Unfortunately, the majority of the human species seems to be too consumed feeding their own greedy needs. After some 25 years on the road, having seen and experienced a multitude of bizarre situations, it sure takes a little more to impress me these days. However, I try to keep an open mind on whatever else life may decide to bring to me.

Philosophy

An empty paragraph does not mean, there is no words to fill it with. It is just an open space of silence, an opportunity to think. All is just a blind man's tear in the rain. What has been, has been and has ended. May memory last a little longer? Now, time to think about your own life. Shocked? Confused? Need mental assistance? Read on!
